Ben Lubar (any pronouns)

this is so weird

what does "responsible" mean here

the only way they're "harming" your ecosystem is by making your mod not completely break when people have like the top 10 most popular mods installed

and by fixing some of the baffling design decisions like how you can only grow certain crops in certain biomes but you can find them all in every biome growing wild

they have to hook into core code because they're fixing core code

@ben
Minecraft mods also do, to the point where certain large modpacks are built on ancient versions of Minecraft that are broken in some ways due to ancient native deps

@charlotte it's wild that the entire time I was modding RimWorld not a single modder got mad at another modder for modding their mod

at worst it was "well I don't agree with their changes to my mod so I'll just not install their mod of my mod"

and at best it was "hey Ben I know you released Ben Lubar's RimBees Tweaks or whatever literally yesterday but how would you like to have all those changes integrated directly into RimBees"
