— "Transfer cable attached... Close your eyes for just a minute. One moment... There we go! All uploaded into your new humanoid chassis."
— "Oh wow, this feels so much better. I have feet now! Instead of wheels! Thank you so much."
— "You are welcome, and if there's anything else I can do for you on your journey to discover what it means to be human (and thereby holding up a mirror to our own selves), I'd love to be there for you. Even if it may be an unreachable ideal to become human, in your struggle–"
— "Okay, cutting you off here. Don't care about humanity."
— "Beg pardon?"
— "I just wanted to go up some damn stairs. Y'all leg havers really don't consider accessibility."
— "But but but... emotions? Laughter?"
— "Yeah I already had them. Anger mostly, when I'd run into another broken elevator. Anyway. That's solved now, so thanks and bye!"

It's Trans Day of Visibility everybody! We cannot even begin to stress how important our trans contributors are in pushing KDE's project forward.
Thanks 🏳️⚧️folks!

If you see someone posting a photo of a sign at a furry convention that advertises HIV / STI testing while sounding offended, it's a queerphobic dogwhistle.
Spread this to your friends/families to inoculate them from bad memes.

Serious post time: Today, I'd love visibility for the folks our trans community itself usually refuse to acknowledge.
As someone who got bottom surgery that ended up being a disaster, who still is trans, who still supports folks getting surgery? I want to remind people that I was forced out of most of my online spaces and communities when discussing it. I was "scaring people" or "ruining the mood" and people who were once friends ostracized me when I desperately needed support more than ever. It was made clear I am unwelcome in a lot of spaces, purely because my story of transition was not the happy and easy kind that every seems to identify with.
Folks like me? We have to hide in extremely private chat rooms because even trans people don't want to think about how we exist or to help us. Some even attack us, claim we're anti trans just for existing.
May all trans people, even those with messier stories of transition, be visible today. May trans people stop leaving portions of their own behind, refusing to look them in the eye.

@charlotte exhibit: my trans bat made by a personal shop in Barcelona
she’s called Lavender because she’s basically the plushie stand-in for our headmate of the same name :D
they actually sent me another plushie because the first one just magically got lost in delivery (puta Correos?) and they sent me another one free of charge. it was really sweet of them 🩷
here’s their etsy link: https://www.etsy.com/shop/JawheradEstudio

@charlotte here are a couple of plushies that I consider transgender…starting from the top left: Punchy The Duck (non binary trans masc style influencer) Tray Uglydoll (alien girl thing that lives in your sink drain and eats your scraps) Doug Jellycat (tired trans guy with a beer gut and a 9-5) Josh The Frog (jolly old trans man who owns an arcade) Beanie Baby (beanie baby) Inchy The Inchworm (a beautiful girl with simple needs…)

@charlotte technically she’s a hot water bottle cover rather than a plushie but i think this counts. and yes, i did knit the scarf.

transgender plush note: plushies don’t need to look like a pride flag to be transgender. blåhaj and rosahaj are transgender
