@schratze the stock they want to use (some BEMU) is stuck in approval hell, so they replaced it with 60s DR stock, which has died, so they replaced it with some rental train that is also partially broken and every second one is now some other newer DMU stock that they have

@schratze before privatization the db ran 90s stock on them which is Perfectly Fine honestly.
The real issue is the track infrastructure which is a hot mess
built around the start of the 20th century as two tracks, one of which was dismantled by the soviets, the DB then rebuilt the remaining track for 160km/h which is a Bizarre choice given that it’s single track and also not electrified
they are working on electrification now but also since then they added additional train services on that track which actually made having just 1 track quite bad

If you're ever looking for an Italian restaurant and don't have a phone or map, but do have a gamma spectrometer, just look for 511 keV annihilation lines and follow them to their source. If you find them from multiple restaurants, the weaker line is the one to eat at.
No matter how well they try to clean cooking utensils between making pasta and antipasto, some mixing is unavoidable which creates a distinct gamma signature.
A smaller annihilation peak is a good sign of more thorough cleaning and better general food safety practices.
