all modern storage mediums can be either classified as SCSI or as NVMe

USB hard drives? SCSI
your pc’s storage? NVMe
the sd card in your switch 2? NVMe

despite being flash based, the storage on your phone is actually SCSI

@charlotte this is true even when still using SATA it often gets presented as some kind of SCSI device in the higher layers (and that isn't saying anything about optical drives those where always SCSI thanks to ATAPI)

@deetwenty usb enclosures for those are also just straight up sata to scsi

@charlotte yeah wouldn't surprise me that most if not all drives have been effectively SCSI (or NvME) for a long time now even when the physical connection was SATA (or even PATA for the last few years of that connector)

@freya can’t exactly fit uncommon phone choices in a meme template especially when it still fits the nvme vs scsi thing

@freya iphones are the largest phone brand only because android is split a gazillion ways, in most markets there are multiple android phones per iphone
