Apparently the --disable-features=ExtensionManifestV2Unsupported,ExtensionManifestV2Disabled bypass for using "dangerous" extensions like uMatrix or uBlock Origin has been removed.

So I guess it's time to find a new browser?

Ah, I guess I can kick the can down the road a bit futher. To enable these "dangerous" v2 extensions in a modern Chrome:

1) Use the aforementioned command line switches.
2) Use the inspect feature on the extensions page and change disabled to enabled for the toggle button.
3) Click the toggle button to enable it.
4) Accept the warning.
