they remade the stairs at our parents’ train station and they turned them from weathered to uneven

first step is really shallow, last step lands on uneven asphalt

there were reasons to remake it, one of the steps was damaged, but the metal step thing they used in the interim was better

it would have been worse while iced over but why remake the stairs worse!!
