i am running into a kernel regression
the fix for the regression was committed to master two weeks before the regression was committed to lts, without the fix
the kernel's development process is perfectly sane and well oiled

Reasons why I don't run lts

@charlotte the fix wasn't cc'd to the stable mailing list, I'm pretty sure that's why
I'll have to check whether this made its way into other versions
i don't exactly have a choice with zfs though

@novenary zfs unstable might work with stable Linux if Linux hasn't broken the open source project again

So like I'd try it, they are currently working on 6.17 which means that 6.16 is probably stable enough for zfs to support it

@novenary
Yeah and that is why I run unstable basically

Works most of the time and I don't have to deal with inracconsistent backporting

@charlotte openzfs 2.3.4 supports 6.16 so it's all good, I'm bumping it and I'll just catch the next lts
