@charlotte It's not about Free Choice it's about Freedom as is. As in like, if you want you can add a feature or delete a feature by editing the source code. Or as in like if you want to are FREE to share a copy with somebody.

@charlotte it's the same for wifi drivers now
 Haiku had to switch to steal^w borrowing from other BSDs. 😒

@mmu_man i wish wifi cards and ethernet cards started working on a standard interface, like with bluetooth cards

@solene I am only familiar with FreeBSD, i wouldn’t see why they wouldn’t pull in linux’s DRM drivers for graphics

@solene @charlotte OTOH reportedly added some support that is not available in XOrg but was present in XFree86? (I think I may actually have one video card in that situation, although I didn't check...)

@charlotte it's better to not think about and be happy 2d acceleration isn't still broken.
