What a fucking nightmare toilet.

You insert 0.50 Euro.
Enter to be welcomed by a steelseat that you want to sanitize.
But wait.
10 PCs of paper max?
Oh.. the paper is 0.5 thickness and 10 pieces equal 3 pieces of acceptable strength?

Wait.. the doors open automatically after 15 minutes??

Oooooh.. the accoustic and visual signaling starts after 10 minutes, so before you are put on stage the crowd gets a callsign, so they wont miss the shitshow.

What a concept.

@overflo Ah, the "Peak German Precision" toilet as well as the most ableist one, better be as average as you can be. But at least it is only .50 and not over 1 euro as apparently the NS now believes they can do.... — Vi

@overflo unless it’s like the carts in aldi where you can get your money back when you’re done. the culture shock on my end remains the same though

@ericjames @overflo unfortunately 50ct is exceedingly common in germany (and the ones that don’t “cost 50ct” in my experience have the cleaning staff sitting near the entrance with like a plate full of coins who will probably judge you if you don’t put 50ct on it)

@ericjames @overflo you don’t get 50ct back, mall, train and gas station public bathrooms may give out a 50ct coupon for buying stuff there, i don’t think i ever managed to “get my money back” because either i go toilet after buying stuff or the store i would shop at doesn’t accept them (for my order)

@charlotte @ericjames

You know the Rapper 50ct?
His debutalbum came out 2003.
So by now he is 27 cent measured in Kaufkraft.
But you know what else?
Reconextualising "50ct" might have worse impacts then Inflation.

@charlotte with the “getting it back” thing i was referring to how aldi’s carts have a little slot you’d put a 25¢ coin in to “activate” the cart, then (as i was told) when you put it back in with the other carts, you get the coin back from the slot
