@TransGal4872 AFAIK the FFS variant in each of the BSDs is kinda ad hoc and no one cares enough to maintain a port into Linux anyhow.

@chjara @TransGal4872 you can make it “work” but linux does spend a lot of effort on blocking what is also just an open source project over ideological licensing differences that the openzfs team can’t fix

@charlotte @chjara @TransGal4872 the situation is the worst on OpenBSD, where there's no zfs, and the ext2 interoperability is... also not really a thing. i usually use tar as the filesystem to bridge OpenBSD and the outside world
