1. you fill out a document on your computer
2. you print it out to sign it
3. you scan it back in as a pdf
4. you then send it via email to an email2fax gateway
5. the fax is then sent via SIP
6. the fax is then sent to another email2fax gateway
7. the fax is received in the email inbox
8. the document is then printed out, “Please think of the environment before printing this email” footer and all
9. the bureaucrat on the other end looks at it in acrobat and still manages to lose half the pages
