oh actually real quick, what's y'alls favorite music player? i like elisa, but there's just a couple quirks about it that irritate me (playing music after pausing for awhile causes it to skip, and it has that same pitch-shift bug that VLC has, but only sometimes)

@koizkoiz @EeveeEuphoria

I also quite enjoy MPV, primarily because it does what it says on the tin, allows me to do cool stuff with keybinds, and stays out of my way when I need it to.

There was also a player I found that was compatible with winamp skins once, that one was cool but I forgot the name sadly.

@jded @koizkoiz i'm not using something that doesn't have a damn interface for choosing albums lmfao

and yeah, there's a couple choices out there, but neither of them work for wayland, with one of the devs straight-up saying "we're not fixing wayland support, fuck you"

@jded @koizkoiz tfw a fucking webapp (webamp) has more support for wayland than actual native applications

@EeveeEuphoria honestly mpd + ncmpcpp but i'm not sure i'd recommend that (given the nonzero amount of setup it requires as opposed to "you run a program and that plays the music")

never had issues with it music playing-wise though, and there's plenty of graphical clients out there

@5225225 @EeveeEuphoria use that on sway or niri, on kde we use strawberry instead which has some of it’s own quirks but works for us
