@root @puniko They are right with that post, a lot of bad actors are taking advantage of the good faith of people by posing as people from countries in war and making begposting to try to make money out of them. That’s not islamophobia, that’s the truth.

I’ve seen a lot of them on Tumblr and other platforms as well. Always the same messages, same format, it just reeks of fake accounts to make money they don’t deserve while taking it away from the people who really needs it. That can’t be tolerated.

and yes - sadly, scammers do use war footage to get money. there's no safe way to send money to people in active warzones based on social media, you gotta go through a trusted organization that handles that
