But this is somehow the jankiest piece of technology I have ever used

They only connect when they feel like it, they have a range of maybe two meters, and the noise cancelation mode keeps switching around which makes you go "huh? What the fuck is going on?"

They were also supposed to be silver, which in reality translates to a sad sandy gray

Sony felt the need to reply to my review in which they attempt to gaslight me into thinking that matte sandy gray is the same thing as reflective platinum silver:

Their response to my complaints about using the things boils down to "update the app" and

that's not the problem

the problem is that you put capacitive buttons onto a device that the user touches all the time and the capacitive buttons have four functions each, when realistically, they could cover one or maybe two

@schratze aside from corporate nonsense, how do you feel about its sound quality?

@edendestroyer I do think that they sound really good. No complaints in that area. The noise cancellation is really good too

@schratze BTW BIG WARNING: do not use this earbuds with a phone that does not support LDAC. It sounds COMPLETELY DIFFERENT based on the codec used

@edendestroyer oh. Using the buds with my fairphone 3 on Android 13 so I hope that codec is supported. No idea though
