Appending an asterisk to a word does not make it any more inclusive
@schratze don't tell the Germans that!
"trans" and "trans*" means exactly the same thing
Do you mean trans people plus a different group? Then address that group explicitly
@schratze they don't, trans* is worse lol
@schratze like bright colors on a frog
@schratze also adding an ‘x’ to something does nothing. what is the x for.
Once saw someone spell “folks” as “folx” for some godawful reason. The word already says nothing on its own about the people it is referring to beyond referring to people, plural.
@schratze @skippingmoonrocks what's that, a part time colonial officer?!
@schratze i think it's quite handy: when i see the asterisk i know I'm dealing with someone who I'd rather avoid
@schratze@todon.nl I always look for the footnote when someone writes trans* 😭
@schratze schratze*
@schratze trans*innen
@schratze no no no one of those stores a trans person and the other the address of a trans person
@schratze
The '*' stands for butthole.
