always funny to see electron applications get flagged as insecure due to using ancient versions of electron like there isn’t already a way to run these applications in a browser that is kept up to date already

maybe they should put these up to date browsers as a part of the operating system so that these apps could use that. call it webview2 or webkit or some shit

and like you can do a surprising amount of things just in a browser, even on firefox. discord almost fully works in the browser minus discord rpc. this is something that also could be implemented in a browser extension. you don’t even need any custom browser builds or services running on the system minus the sdk games already ship

@charlotte ah but you see then developers would have to do their jobs by ensuring that the application works correctly on all the platforms they support

@ensoyote what do you mean you can’t task one guy to uselessly duplicate the chrome audio subsystem from scratch and then expect to have it work on everyone’s systems
