“mutual aid” as a concept is good, but i feel like people on here just use it as an excuse to beg constantly. i think the most effective types of mutual aid are the ones that skip the money and involve doing actual stuff in real life.

if more than, like, 10% of your posts are you just asking for money, why are you even here? do you just see us all as a piggy bank or what

Do you think people WANT to be asking and begging? Some of us are in positions where we literally CANNOT get a job and money from friends and family in tiny dribs and drabs is our lifeline.
If you do not have the money or the heart to part with it, go about your day with the relevant hashtags blocked.

If you won't take that advice, take your victim blaming and shove it up your privileged ass.
