@krutonium to be fair i don't KNOW know that they keep up the anti-tamper but my point of reference is EAC which was removed from Apex and GTAV because cheating thrived more on Linux

@sterophonick EAC was added to them, not removed; I'd love to go back to playing GTA Online.
And it wasn't people cheating on Linux; They were cheating on Windows due to the complete lack of Anticheat. Meanwhile it's an actual checkbox that they can tick, to enable EAC functioning on Linux.

@krutonium huh? the were operating on EAC but the Linux library they use for WINE/Proton feeds it the information it likes to keep the AC happy, at least with Apex Legends.

@sterophonick I dunno about Apex, only GTA V. Up until they added EAC, GTA V did not have any anticheat.
EAC supports Linux, including for Windows Games under Proton. It requires a special build of Proton that Valve provides, but it does work. As long as the developers check the box to enable the AC to be okay with Proton.
If Apex works under Linux it's because they ticked that box, unlike RockStar.
