btrfs has a command called fsck.btrfs and all it does is nag the user about how they did not use the right magical incantation for doing what they meant to do

yes btrfs i meant to “check file system consistency” that is why i called fsck !!!!

@charlotte ipfs has a command called ipfs fsck and all it does is delete a file with a specific path

it doesn't check anything

@ben oh no btrfs check does actually check for file system integrity as you would expect

just do not call the binary you would call on all other linux fses to do it though

@charlotte I used to think that all the people badmouthing btrfs where going of stories from old versions, these days not so sure anymore (especially after some experiences with a 8 TB per disk HDD raid array being super slow)
