I had a dream last night that ÂŁ5 and ÂŁ10 coins existed and they were very large. I was very confused when a cashier gave me them as change.

@Violet ÂŁ10 coins are technically real and have an 8.9cm diameter. They're technically legal tender but sold at a premium as collectors items (and therefore generally worth more than ÂŁ10)

@Violet the largest coins here are about 6.75mm wider than the 2€ coin and are worth 25€ (made from 99.9% silver) or 200€ (made from 99.9% gold) and are legal tender but only in germany

when I mean very large, I mean comically large, but not too large, about the size of a coffee coaster

I am now imagining a ÂŁ50 coin and it is the size of a frisbee. This is how this works now.

@Violet here’s 100£. What do you mean “It’s the size of a bicycle wheel” ?

@Violet convenient for money laundering, they're ideally sized for the dishwasher

@Violet alas, smaller than the 10. Only 3.4cm.

@Violet now, what you really want is the ÂŁ10,000 coin. Except it weighs 22lbs, so it would just crash straight to the ground if you threw it.
