weather icon in my Taskbar: "84 F and Windy!"

weather feed on my phone: "TROPICAL STORM WARNING. HURRICANE WATCH. HIGH WINDS AND FLOODING. EVACUATE TO HIGH GROUND AND SEEK SHELTER."

One of these fails to truly convey the situation if I'm not paying much attention.

@Raccoon yeah it’s just so fucking inappropriate sometimes. it’s mildly windy outside but the weather widget of my phone always goes ⚠ weather warning: severe storms every time the gusts exceed 50km/h or sth

Oh geez, is even worse: I just tried to search for hurricane coverage on there, and it's not even suggesting searches for , just giving me articles explaining hurricanes, like, Y'ALL KNOW I'M IN FLORIDA. I'M NOT ASKING ABOUT HURRICANES IN GENERAL. 😆 😂 😭

@charlotte
See, I've never had that issue with my Android phone. What's likely happening in your case is the local weather agency is flagging conditions as being "severe enough" and it's conveying that.

I'd rather have that than "84F Windy"

@Raccoon given that the only warnings appear to be on accuweather i think that this is more an accuweather thing
