The technofeudal YouTube is not allowing ad-blockers; it seems to change its code every day. I don't care about the shit videos and algorithms on YouTube, but there is a lot of educational content out there. Although its lifespan is limited now, as we need to build a decentralized YouTube with ActivityPub and IPFS, it may still take a few years to accomplish.

@srijit@akko.chir.rs @srijit Yes, I know PeerTube, but not gone into details, thanks for sharing the link.
Few things we need to fix.
* It's still based on centralized servers, the system admin has full control over the instance.
* Modular and Composable design, which PeerTube already provides to many extents
* Incentive system of good content creators and developers based on the principle of fairness. (https://amiyatulu.github.io/blog/shivarthu/tyranny_of_the_majority.html)

@srijit@akko.chir.rs @srijit
Also, not many people know about Peertube, an incentive model can solve the marketing problem.

@srijit@akko.chir.rs @srijit I don't find the problem in streaming large files in IPFS, it seems to depend on the IPFS host server (its bandwidth, etc) yes go-ipfs is still a bit inefficient and unreliable.

@srijit@akko.chir.rs @srijit Tried a few peertube instances, but none of them allowed new registration. Maintaining Peertube instances is expensive, due to need of lot of storage.
