Journalists needn't be afraid of losing followers and viewership to join #Mastodon.
They need to trust the technology (Interoperability, https://activitypub.rocks/)
because it's future-proof and will improve every year.
Journalism will do better with #Mastodon, unlike big-tech social media that amplifies spam and can change its functioning overnight.
If you come here, you will bring your followers with you. And it can become a self-perpetuating loop.

@srijit If you don't know the user ID, finding the user in other instances fediverse is a challenging task, as your instance doesn't know the users of other instances. Maybe a user indexing service to index the active user IDs and profiles across all instances would be helpful, for finding users easily and increasing the followers.

srijitI now recall that we have discussed usage of Hashtag before regarding discovery of content instead of first attempting to find people in Fediverse.
I am not aware what specific hashtags can Indian journalists use. So user indexing service can provide value for content and people discovery.
