i love how some places that do telephone number formatting for some places see phone numbers for germany and just plops them down as is. i guess it’s not nearly as trivial to parse one as a us telephone number (our location prefix is 2-5 digits long without the leading zero)

like a valid phone number would be formatted like +49 1734567890 instead of the more canonical +49 173 4567890 (this is a real phone number which i have seen advertised as a locksmithing company in multiple cities which doesn’t seem to exist lol)
