This is an advertisement. This is intended to make their models seem so powerful as to be a scary threat in order to get more VC funding to pour in. No company would openly releases a security incident unless they are required to do so.
Facebook did the same thing years ago when they did a press release talking about how they had to do an emergency shutdown of their AI models because they had “developed their own language to communicate that the human observers didn’t understand” and it was portrayed as some incredibly frightening entity that might “escape the lab”. It was bullshit: the two LLMs were just babbling nonsensically at each other.

I don't get why people are so passionate about shipping. Every time I open the internet it's "pro-ship this", "anti-ship that", "problematic shipping", "shipping discourse". Bruh. They're boats. Huge fuckin' boats. They move containers around. Surely we can all agree that rail should handle more inland freight and that bunker fuel is shit we shouldn't be burning?
People keep telling me, "you just don't understand shipping culture Elly."

My response.: Speaking a 2nd language.
Got some confused looks, so I explained.
If you are rich, speaking more than one language is seen as a sign of being educated, well travelled and civilised. But if you are poor, you get branded as some lazy, uneducated immigrant here to steal other peoples jobs whilst also claiming all of the benefits... at least that's how the bigots like to portray it.
Saw a few light bulbs going of in peoples faces.
Remember... you can give people the opportunity to reflect on the way they have been conditioned to think, with just a few well chosen words.

- treat any db train as late untill you arrive
- never let any plans cover db estimates that you aren’t willing to miss
- keep your finger away from the post button until the db can absolutely not fuck your trip up anymore
