I was severely annoyed today after having a discussion about how seethingly grating it is that I have to go through a whole-ass nuanced argument every time to provide extremely targeted, rational answers as to why 'ai' is not suited for a given thing,

instead of being able to just say "I don't want it" and having that be enough.

So I went and got some holes poked in me - upgraded my helix to an industrial - and now I have endorphins again.

Ethics aside, we can clearly no longer deny the utility of necromancy. Perhaps a year ago, when the pathetic shambling of the animated dead so often made a hollow mockery of our arts. But now! Incantations that once took weeks of toil can be wrested from their tormented souls in mere minutes!

Without the awesome power of the newly dead coursing through our veins, how are we to solve the great problems of our age, like the mysterious disappearance of so many of our elderly and sick friends, or the festering piles of rotten flesh that now clog our streets and homes?

If you still have qualms about using the large soul providers, you can always obtain your own local, free range specimens, although of course they won’t obey quite as faithfully as ones from the leading charnel houses.

Honestly, do you want to be left behind?

the tl;dr on that exploit (which is novel research) is that AMD fucked up and made the memory controller configuration registers unprivileged (at the platform level, which exists in rings below 0), so you can just reprogram them from ring 0.

this is, needless to say, a phenomenal fuckup on AMD's side, but does not need 10,000 words of AI slop to explain.

We also store backups of post, profile, and account data in multiple locations, in an encrypted form, on our server near Chemnitz, Germany, as well as on Vultr.
For technical reasons it is not possible modify these backups to remove your data. If this is a concern, please contact us.

What are your data protection rights?

We want to make sure that you are aware of your data protection rights. Every user is entitled to the following:
The right to access — You can request a copy of the data we have about you. This may require a short verification for remote users. Local users can do so in the settings under Export/Import
