She/Her or It/It's, trans to the people who know me. I'm less active here, oh well...
@NanoRaptor @imikoy @billgoats don't get me wrong... the singular indicator light on my 70' device that requires a darkcloth to see is annoying... but so is Bright Blue Blaster 3000™

The Redbox hack "is a reminder that all companies should be obligated to minimize the amount of data they collect and retain in the first place," EFF’s F. Mario Trujillo told @arstechnica. "We need strong data privacy laws to do that."

I've archived these 4 disks from 1991 from Passport Designs containing midi files at the start of the General Mania. Best hear with a proper hardware midi synths, but I guess software render GM is not too shabby nowadays. dl#5 is a straight zip with all of them inside. https://macintoshgarden.org/apps/midi-hits-collection

Is everyone aware that flights are (often much) cheaper than trains in Europe because aviation fuel isn't taxed?

@atoponce 0° DIN is 0 ASA. But 12° DIN is 12 ASA as well. A funny coincidence i noticed recently; of course not that common to deal with that slow a speed pf film anymore

Upon powerup, the CPU begins to execute code.

This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move.

In a camera I ordered from Ukraine was still a roll of Orwo UT16... I decided to develop the photo's in rodinal, to give them the best of chances to see the light of day.

To my surprise, a vague image of the past came to life:
A very destroyed photograph of …
A barely identifiable photo of …
A very destroyed photo of 3 you…
A difficult to identify photogr…

@TechConnectify yes i still buy disposeable batteries. mostly for my gameboy pocket (ewww) with everdrive (aie), which according to most people doesn't work but it actually does; but only if your batteries can stand a high peek voltage when booting, which AAA's are not designed to handle at the best of time.

and since you can't leave your batteries inside, the battery check would come in kinda handy

I ported a USB DisplayLink driver to @polpo's PicoGUS card so I could use it to watch MS-DOS games make changes to the VGA palette in realtime. Specifically, I ported "libdlo" to use the TinyUSB stack in host mode, then spent way too much time optimizing it until it was sufficiently fast.
