I used "crowdstrike" as a verb at work today, to paraphrase: "CI is broken because github crowdstruck us with a bad rust compiler update". AKA: usable any time an automatic update from a vendor breaks your infrastructure.
All I'm saying is, if they didn't want this neologism, they shouldn't have ruined my flight home from Italy.

it's just how it is with capitalism in general, but when apple removes the headphone jack, no amount of objection to it stops them from doing it anyways.
people will come in and buy the iphones in record-breaking droves anyways, the governmental bodies don't care because no law is being broken, and nobody else has any influence over what apple says when it comes to a headphone jack.
windows gets away with constant shitty updates because people still buy windows products, and continue to buy into office 365, game pass for PC, etc.
android and iOS gets away with being horrendously wretched bastardizations of computing because they're a duopoly with a focus on "simplifying" computing so they can control how people use their devices.
they can get away with it, due to capitalism incentivizing this behavior. people keep giving them money, no matter what, because they're either a monopoly, or the only practical option in town (a pseudo-monopoly).
