i will post a US state every day and it is your task (without searching up the state or a map) to identity the state
i don’t care how incorrect it

@kanako first vibe is Alaska but I think I already guessed that and also Alaska doesn’t have two straight edges therefore I am going with new Mexico

@ielenia @kanako @Chloe don’t judge a state by its edges. so what if it’s not straight does that mean we should not love it just the same?

@ielenia @Chloe @sodiboo @kanako other than the left edge it basically is a rectangle? top edge is basically straight and bottom is wobbly in an irrelevant way

@mir @kanako @sodiboo @ielenia the top edge is the only straight border

@Chloe @kanako @sodiboo @mir well it’s nominally straight but in practice it’s quite wobbly just not on a scale that’s perceptible from a map of this size

@ielenia @kanako @Chloe @mir i love my wobbly borders. wobbly borders are a national treasure and none of you will take away that joy from me

this is a partial spoiler for the answer but i think we're beyond the point where that matters

@sodiboo @kanako @Chloe @mir no im talking about an international border

that border is defined as the line connecting various markers whereas state borders are defined more abstractly
