Thinking about rolling my static sites back to http, as per https://this.how/googleAndHttp/

Apart from "corporations will call me insecure," are there reasons I shouldn't?

@lrhodes really weird arguments tbh, and it's hardly just google pushing HTTPS (see: every browser having a HTTPS only mode, and the EFF's https://www.eff.org/https-everywhere which isn't needed anymore because every browser has a setting to require HTTPS)

that and honestly a lot of the arguments seem to be conflating HTTP(the protocol, which can be secured with TLS) and HTTP(plaintext port 80 HTTP)

This means only super nerds will be able to put up sites.

some webservers can handle https fully automatically for you, and even if not, i don't really feel it's significantly harder to set up certbot or similar?
