that a Geodreieck (90-45-45 square) is NOT well known and ubiquitous outside this corner of Europe.

1. Total surprise: as I said they are totally ubiquitous here and I think even supermarkets sell them.
2. Curious: What do you use during Math Geometry lessons?

@Deepseacreatur3 I generally have good memories of these and still own a few. They just broke very quickly for me (despite their claim of being “unbreakable”).

@smfsk @Deepseacreatur3 Nein. 😁 English (in this case English, Traditional) is weird and a triangle is a square when it wants to be.

@evi are you talking about a set square? Completely standard part of a school geometry kit here in the UK.

@christianp I am referring to a very specific type of set square; in addition to egde length it also offers measuring of the angles and measurements inside.
