@sophie144p we're already at ipv9 though, which has a bunch of cursed notation that's backwards compatible to ipv4 and ipv6 and also adds new punctuation using all of these characters: {}[]()/. the paper needs more than an entire page in two column-layout to describe how the text-representation of the 2048-bit addresses work.
at this point the next version could be ipv13 or something and then include emojis there :3
