lua 5.5 is a thing now?

apparently: global variable declarations, for control variables are read-only, table.create for preallocating tables with a certain amount of slots, and some implementation optimizations

@chjara nothing major, but replacing _G.whatever with global whatever will be nice

@chjara Nah, still a pre-release thing, lua.org is just weird about tarball filenames.
