Probably a shot in the dark, but does anybody have the tools for burning quality photo-CD's from linux, preferably compatible with philips CD-i?

Ted Felix maintains some old win95 instructions on how to do it in a kinda janky way (http://www.tedfelix.com/PhotoCD/PCDMakeYourOwn.html) but already decoding PCD under linux seems to be a Hard problem, let alone encoding them. For starters: imagemagick only does write 768x512, and only few tools ever got above that!

It could be interesting tho cause my software (darktable) supports highlights above 100% just like PCD. Sadly it's not one of it's output options, that would have been very funny. But it shows how careful you have to walk to produce high-quality files.

Goals are a bit sillier tho... yes i got myself a CD-i and i wanna see if i can show my fursuit photo's on it the authentic way hihihi
