Oh boy do I intensely dislike how file names are numbered by a GoPro!

So here's what two sessions from one camera looks like in a folder.

You can sort by date and get them in the correct order, but it still hurts to look at.

(The files that END in 7 are from one session, and that END in 8 are from the next. The first number is which file it is within the sequence, which feels HORRIBLY BACKWARDS)

@TechConnectify Just don't stop filming. 🤷 Only one file, no problem. 🤷

@ivan If this is a serious suggestion and not made in jest... I hit record only twice to make these six files. There's a maximum file size

@dragon @ivan Well, perhaps, but I didn't have the GoPro format the card. I just popped a fresh card in and hit record.

@TechConnectify It's impressive how these guys do *¨$! for "workarounds" like splitting files in <4GB and for what? How hard can it be to add proper support for a better file system? There are PLENTY of options with PLENTY of security + data integrity features, compatible options with pretty every desktop operating system since, I don't know... early 2000s... and they insist on using FAT32

But what do I know? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

@TechConnectify @ivan fat32 would be a reason to create a new file around the 4GB mark as I believe it can’t handle any larger

@dragon @ivan Update: Recorded another round and formatted the card first in the GoPro

Still does this.
