She/Her or It/It's, trans to the people who know me. I'm less active here, oh well...

I love semantic HTML. Each input field is so easy to describe in a sensible way. It can even be used by plugins and user-scripts.

With Windows 9x Subsystem for Linux you can run all your favourite Windows and Linux apps side-by-side with a modern Linux kernel running cooperatively with the Windows kernel in ring 0. And unlike modern WSL, no hardware virtualisation is used so even your 486 can run it!

Please enjoy, I think this might be one of my greatest hacks of all time

@atkelar very much so, and even outside of those i might have blacked it out myself if it wasn't already. I don't need to advertise that i'm using a potentially expensive camera

My m8 pretty much lives in my pocket for when the occasions arrive, I can't say if I'll get another 50 000 shots on it but i don't think i'll go tired of the little rangefinder in my pocket anytimes soon

Whilst I own and love a leica M8 i cannot help but hate current leica and *very very strongly* side-eye even the leica of 2006. It has written "rich kid's toy" all over it, so many of them sitting in boxes unused for some rich people's "collection".

The previous owner of mine blacked out the logos (sacrilege!) and definitely treated it to a lot of usage, which is exactly my kind of vibe. Thing should be used, not sit there being pretty on a shelf.

Peasants, rural laborers, and tenant farmers in Europe in previous centuries were, of course, oppressed and exploited by nobles and owners of large farms alike.

But at least in the Catholic regions, they had an excuse for days off: "We must honor the feast day of this saint, or else terrible, terrible things will happen!"

These days, we no longer have such excuses - all we can do is to support strong unions who fight for us.

I shot two rolls of expired fuji sensia for the furwalk last con and i gotto admit i really loved the look of it (see https://www.furtrack.com/index/photographer:miifox+fuji_sensia).

And I found another photographer who edited their photo's of said furwalk in a style that really reminded me of my roll of film: https://www.furtrack.com/index/photographer:tobee+tourdefur+event:fe2026

Now i gotto admit this gave me such good memories back, fuji sensia might have been dead for one and a half decades but it still lives on in our hearts and this really felt like an extension of what I shot.

The Teletext Archaeologist

For a long time it was only possible to recover teletext on Linux - now you can do it on your Windows laptop! Get more information and download VBI Recorder for nothing at https://teletextarchaeologist.org/software/ - but do remember to upload your recoveries to https://www.teletextarchive.com afterwards :-)

Last #furnalEquinox there was someone who took an entire back-strappable reel-to-reel machine with them. As it happened I just had loaded in a roll of Delta 3200 black and white film in my GL690, and there was this really cute https://bsky.app/profile/charliefox.bsky.social who agreed to do a pose...

Yes, this is peak furcon energy! #fursuitFriday
