She/Her or It/It's, trans to the people who know me. I'm less active here, oh well...
repeated

I recently drove a car whose whole control and entertainment system was a gigantic iPad-like thing mounted to the dash. It caused me to have a realisation about the and of touch screens.

There is no way to touch a touchscreen without it treating that touch as intentional. What I mean is: without taking my eyes off the road, I can grope across the dashboard, find a knob or button—by touching it—without activating any function. Touching the volume button or temperature knob doesn’t DO anything until I do it with more force and intentionality. Not so for a .

My mobile (an 13) has no dead space in its face. There’s no part of the phone face I can touch without it assuming I meant to do that and I wanted to activate whatever was under my finger. Old iPhones that had physical home buttons also had dead space to either side: a safe space to hold the phone without DOING anything.

Computer keyboard have little raised pips on the F and J keys so you can find them by touch without looking. I do this all the time. But I don’t type the letters F or J. Touch screens have no such affordances.

I look at the keyboard in this photo and I see a raised space bar. It’s an that lets you orient your fingers, and orient how you hold the phone, without looking.

I miss buttons.

don't you hate it when you show up late and everyone tells you to take your pants off and you do assuming it's a no-pants party and then you realize one else is bottomless and everyone's staring at you

Finshed commission for an anon friend. Featuring their panda/puppy hybrid. I don't draw macro stuff often so this was a fun change of pace. I should do more size related stuff soon.

NL pensions

We just had a presentation about the new pension law that they put us on earlier without asking us and it left us flabbergasted. Money you put in will just disappear if you die earlier and they're forcing bonds.

If you have a pension in The Netherlands you might want to check it and reconsider your contributions... Thinking it's a giant scam now and with me quite some colleagues.

Are you a furry who is curious about computer art and the demoscene?

Find me at Nordic Fuzz Con on Thursday the 20th in the Vet Chamber, Valhalla!

I will be covering all the essential topics surrounding the demoscene, how furries have been getting involved with the scene and how you too can get involved.

Foone🏳️‍⚧️

I said a while back:

I've been on HRT for a couple years now so I've seen a lot of changes when looking into mirrors, but the most important one is that the person on the other side seems to be smiling more.

PSA: you can just run the command "cal" in your terminal to get a properly formatted calendar. or "cal -y" for the entire year.

i recently found out that surprisingly few modern linux users seem to be aware of this, and instead keep digging around for a graphical calendar. it's an old unix command so it's typically available on even the most lightweight of systems (like alpine)

I want to live in a future where body modification, otherkinnism, pluralism and gender identity are so normalized that people don't even think about it anymore.

Like imagine going to a wedding, and in one side you have Mr. and Ms. Stevenson, a couple of married cis white people, and at the other side a polycule of a post-human trans fox girl, a robot girl, a plural dog femboy and an intersex human with four arms

And you watch them interact, and instead of focusing on how different they are... they accept eachother, they ask about life, they hug and they respect eachothers' boundaries, they don't even think about them being trans, or non-human, because it's so normalized and efficient that it's not even put into question

the word "cis" and "trans" are meaningless anymore because nobody even asks, people just are.
