@piecritic If you are fine with using nightly rust features this kinda does exist https://rust-lang.github.io/rfcs/3028-cargo-binary-dependencies.html though maybe its a bit different compared to what you actually need.

@ma3ke @marta TempleRS would actually be a pretty good name because you then could name the makers the Knights TempleRS

Rust 1.94.0 has been released! 🌈 🦀 ✨

A few highlights are array_windows() and element_offset() on slices, Peekable::next_if_map(), LazyCell::get and friends, and the new `include` key in config.toml to include other toml files!

Check out the blog post for details: https://blog.rust-lang.org/2026/03/05/Rust-1.94.0/

@freya A friend pointed out that they thought it was pretty short notice, so I had a look and its a pretty average time if you look at the last many elections

Going to a chemistry cabaret at my old uni tonight. It is the newest of the science cabarets so it is fun to see how the running gags evolve.

My favourite gag from the past few years have been about how all chemicals should just go into the handwash.

@phloggen Tror du at det ville give mening at have en dansk foreningen som det tyske Codeberg til at hoste kode og lignende?

@freya I have been thinking off doing that as well since it seems like a pretty neat thing

hey uhhh. I got fired yesterday. if anyone has rust positions in the Netherlands let me know!

update: for context, I'm a compiler witch and a member of the Rust compiler team. I've worked on a bunch of cool stuff in rustc, including "the never type", "tail calls", and "trait upcasting". See my github (I also accept sponsorships if you feel like it :D). Didn't expect this post to blow up way past my circle of friends neocat_melt_blep

@ma3ke I watched it over a couple of days, tbh. I don't really understand the computational chemistry part well enough to follow the fist part really. The lexer bug I could follow much better, it was quite a nice video
