Reviewing some photo's from my trip to Switzerland now that I'm back... I shouldn't get hooked up in details and I can recover some things... But sometimes I wish I would have learned to check my camera settings better and remember earlier in a trip how my equipement works best. >.<

Happens every time and I can't exactly go back soon to re-take stuff. :P I hate how bad the internal screen/viewfinder is to properly judge things.

@maruno What happened? Exposure problems or focus problems or like technical problems?

@miifox Exposure and focus, it's just very hard to see things properly on the internal screen with the incredibly strong sun in Switzerland. I even have some shots with lens flare on my modern lens! (With all the Super EBC etc.)

But also how my equipement works and what settings are best, ideal I find out halfway during the trip after I have taken most of the photo's already. :P

But I hope the stuffing in your head holds many nice memories!

@hapi Oh for sure! We did a little bit of everything and I regret now having more time, will need to get back sometime! But we really really enjoyed the trip, Zwarte Woef did as well! Loved the beautiful nature.

@maruno oh that sounds pretty bad yeah. I had the (mis)luck I could shoot all of my last holiday on sunny 16 with focus through the viewfinder, the sun was very strong but at least consistant. But yeah don't be afraid to use the camera's automatic settings in such cases, modern camera's know what they must do at least somewhat decently.

Flare should not happen though, time for a bigger lenshood! (look like the tourist with the massive lenshood)

@miifox The modern lens was on AP, but that still made the camera be way off. It simply didn't know what to do with that sun without additional input.

It's okay and I tweak it often normally, but the same sub makes it impossible to see if what you shot is meh/okay/good. Just enough to see if it's not totally bad.

Yeah, the mountains are special, not? I feel there as much at home as at the sea!

@hapi Yeah, definitely is special and the call of the mountains is just as strong as the sea. Their local 'see' are huge lakes next to the mountains, if you need a swim as a shark. :) The combination of both is really cool, similar to the Faroe Islands (I was a few years back) it's a stunning combination.

@maruno It did remind me to actually edit my photo's from my last summer trip, so thanks for that!
